How to Enter



Instructions:           


1. Create or login to your account

     After creating your account, you can upload images at any time until the

     competition closes. (Register and Enter button at the bottom of this page.)

  1. 2. Pay your entry fee.

  2. 3. Upload your images to the categories you select.



Submission Fee:

  1. • $45 for the first 3 images you submit, $15 for each additional image.

  2. • Early-bird special: pay for your images before February 15, 2010 and the

  entry fee is reduced to $36 for the first 3 images, and $12 for each

  additional image.


COMPETITION SPECIAL - SAVE $35

Membership application fee waived: all photographers who enter the competition and apply for membership to Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum before the competition closes will have the one-time $35 membership application fee waived. Click here for details on joining the Forum.



Digital Image Format:

  1. • Image title is the name that you give to the image, not necessarily the file name

  2. • Title cannot exceed 40 characters

  3. • Title can have spaces or hyphens between words

  4. • Title should not have characters:!@#$%^&*()_+

  5. • Format: JPEG - Resolution: 72 ppi (72 pixels/inch), compression 7

  6. • 8 bit mode

  7. • RGB or SRGB color mode (not CMYK)

  8. • Size: 1280 pixels longest side


Submission Guidelines:

  1. • Please refer to the Competition Rules for more information.

  2. •The competition is open to professional and nonprofessional photographers

  worldwide.

  1. • You can submit as many images as you want.

  2. • Photographs can be taken at any time, there are no date restrictions on

  when the image was taken.

  1. • Images can be published or unpublished, as long as you have the rights to

  submit the images to the competition.

  1. • Entry fees are non-refundable.

  2. • Credit card payments are processed in US$.

  3. • Images must have no border, embedded marks, or logos.

  4. • Digital files will not be returned.

  5. • All winning images must be submitted in high resolution for printing and

  mounting prints for the exhibition - details will be provided to the 30

  winners.



By submitting images to the Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum International     Photography Competition, you acknowledge that you have read the Competition Rules and agree to be bound by them.
