"Photographer of the Year"

• Awarded for the highest-ranked image overall (this will be awarded to the First Place category winner with the highest score).

• The Photographer of the Year will receive all prizes of First Place in category plus a gold passport to FOTOfusion 2011, a five day photographic festival/educational event hosted by the Palm Beach Photographic Center in Florida. (Airfare, housing, food not included) Other prizes for our top winner include a photo carbon fiber Manfrotto (Bogen) tripod with ball head and Tamrac camera bag,
"First Place in Category"

• Awarded for the highest-ranked image in each of the 5 categories.

• First place in category winner receives Corel Painter XI software, a 16x20 mounted print of the winning image displayed at Morpho Gallery in Chicago, a $150 gift certificate from Canvas on Demand and magazine subscription to Rangefinder and AfterCapture magazines.
"Award of Excellence"

• Awarded to the 25 highest-ranked images, after the 5 First Place awards, regardless of category. Award of Excellence winner receives a 16x20 mounted print of the winning image displayed at Morpho Gallery and a $150 gift certificate from Canvas on Demand.
Certificates:
Certificates (in digital format) will be awarded to each of the 30 winning images: Photographer of the Year, First Place for each of the 5 categories, and the 25 Award of Excellence winners.
Gallery Exhibit:
A special exhibition at the Morpho Gallery in Chicago in June, 2010 will feature the 30 award-winning photographs from the 2010 International Photography Competition: the highest-ranked image in each of the 5 categories, plus the next 25 highest-ranked images overall. Opening reception is scheduled for June 4, 2010.
A 16" x 20" print of each award-winning image will be printed and mounted for the Morpho Gallery exhibition by our sponsor The Lab by Apollo. Each award-winning photographer will be asked to determine the asking price for sales at the exhibition. (All sale at the exhibition will be split: 50% to the photographer, 40% to Morpho Gallery, and 10% to Fort Dearborn-Chicago Photo Forum. Fees accrued by Fort Dearborn will assist the organization in providing educational meetings and programs.)
